Latin Dance for Beginners -16+ years old

If your knowledge of Latin dance stops at the mambo sequence from ¨West Side Story,¨ this course will open your eyes (and ears) and get your body moving to the authentic, sensual rhythms of such popular Latin dances as Salsa & Bachata. Each class will begin with warm ups designed to help increase body awareness. Then, participants will learn the basic steps & turns for Salsa, Bachata, and other traditional Latin rhythms. Dancing with a partner will also be introduced but no partner required. Proper (non-marking) athletic shoes must be worn.
